Should we worry about end times? |

To live our lives in fear would give the enemy such victory! God said He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love and sound mind. Fear is a spirit and it must be rebuked and prayed away. We are not without sense and the ability to reason. God has promised us that He will care for His people and protect them always. He says He has hidden us underneath His wing, and written us on His palm. Scripture also says that He will never suffer His people to be moved. As long as we are in right standing with God, looking to Him for deliverance and repenting of our sins, confessing them and doing our best to walk with God, He will uphold His end of the covenant. Who is it that the Bible says would be called up before leaders, tortured and killed for Christ's sake? Jesus may have spoken there only about his apostles who would indeed be martyred for the Kingdom. He may have meant the many saints throughout history who have died for their faith. He may also refer to actual end times, but regardless of which time period it was about, only a handful of the millions of believers have ever been asked to die for their faith. The real trick isn't in the dying for your faith in the end times, that would be relatively easy if things got that bad before we were taken home. (I personally don't think we'll be here to see it.) The real test of your faith is in LIVING what you say you believe now, in relatively calm times. To find out the answers about the end times, we don't need to listen to opinions, but we need to understand scripture wisely. Here is an excellent resource that teaches exactly what scripture says about the end times and why we won't be here to see the tribulation.
